Mary Robbins is a mixed media artist who works with abstract ink painting, sculpture, and sculptural installation. Her artwork is influenced and inspired by the cycles of nature and organic life forms. She will be completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in sculpture in December 2015 at Southeast. Mary has had solo shows at Cateye Glasses Studio and The Wright Group in Cape Girardeau as well as having multiple works accepted into the Annual Juried Student Exhibition at Southeast 2012-2015. She was presented with the Drawing Merit Award as well as purchase awards at the 2015 Annual Juried Student Exhibition. Mary is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In her pursuit of a BFA, she learned the essential practices of being a professional artist and a well-rounded set of skills in various artistic mediums. She gained valuable experience in working on campus with the Department of Art faculty, the Crisp Museum and the River Campus Art Gallery. Mary is currently working under the mentorship of Professor Chris Wubbena.
