A Note from the Athletic Director

Brady Barke, Athletic Director

Southeast Missouri State University Athletics has a storied history of success both athletically and academically. It is a tradition that runs deep and carries with it a great sense of pride for our University, our alumni and our community. Our vision for SEMO Athletics is bold but simple: to be the premier athletics program in the Ohio Valley Conference. We are building a program all of our SEMO alumni will be proud of—we will win conference championships, and we will graduate student-athletes who are prepared to be champions in life.

Last year alone, we celebrated 207 student-athletes with a 3.0 grade point average and above— 61 percent of all our student-athletes—and 80 student-athletes received their degrees last year. Our Redhawk student-athletes collected 24 All-OVC end-of-year awards, and our teams won more OVC games than in any of the last four years. And the 2018-19 school year is off to an even better start!

While we continue to make progress, we’re not yet where we want to be. But we’re on the way, and we know you want it as much as we do. We recognize that the team isn’t just on the court or the field – it’s in the stands and in our community. We can’t do it without the support of our alumni and community, and support for our student-athletes is growing. Last year, we raised the most money for the Redhawks Club annual fund since the 2004-05 school year.

It’s time for Redhawk Athletics to rise to a higher level, and we know that with your help, we will soar.
