Gather, Share, Learn

Gather, Share, Learn
Southeast’s international students bring a sense of culture and unity to the University. It’s our responsibility to provide the welcoming environment they deserve to learn and be successful during one of the most exciting times of their lives.

The International Village has landed at Southeast Missouri State. A permanent new home for the University’s Office of International Education and Services (IES) and the Intensive English Program (IEP) will open this fall.

A large multipurpose room will be utilized for recreation, presentations on cultural education, guest lectures, open forums, coffee hours, and much more. But the Village won’t only be a place for international students to gather, share, and learn.

“This space will provide a whole new dimension and flexibility to host small and larger events,” Kevin Timlin, director of IES says. “It’s a perfect venue for international students to share their culture, food, and experiences with the whole campus.”
