New Division of Equity, Access and Behavioral Health

Sonia Rucker, assistant to the president for Equity and Diversity and Dean of Students at Southeast Missouri State University, was appointed vice president for equity, access and behavioral health. Rucker oversees of the Division of Equity, Access and Behavioral Health at Southeast. She continues to serve as Dean of Students. Test-Optional Admissions

Southeast expanded its test-optional admissions and scholarship offerings available to beginning freshman entering Southeast in fall 2021. Prospective students can now be admitted to Southeast with a 2.75 cumulative high school grade point average and the required high school core curriculum. Students do not need an ACT or SAT score to be admitted and can self-report their academic record when they apply. Institutional scholarships are now available without a test score. Adult learners returning to college can take advantage of Missouri’s Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant.
